Reverend Sharlyn Menard is a retired minister, an educator, and Veriditas-certified Labyrinth facilitator. Sharlyn is passionate about learning. As a Montessori guide in an elementary classroom for many years, she relied on heightened senses and directed attention when managing a classroom full of students. After graduating from a progressive Baptist seminary in 2014, she
focused her ministry on death and dying. She believes we must continue to explore walking a spiritual path as we need to have amazing questions! These questions should move us forward in the journey of life.
Cheryl Bruni is the labyrinth keeper for a permanently installed stone and rock labyrinth at an Episcopal Church. Introducing the community and the congregation to this ancient tool for meditation, prayer, healing, and anxiety relief is enhanced by developing a meditation garden surrounding the labyrinth where regular finger labyrinth meditation is also taught and readily available during scheduled walks twice each month. Walks for specific occasions are encouraged. Life's transitions and coping with the Covid virus are two examples of walking for healing and anxiety relief. Journaling and meditative art projects may follow and add to the labyrinth experience.
